That's true Dennis but did you know that if you drive around for awhile, some freeway (no more than 65mph) and some stop and go driving that the ECU will go into "Ready" mode?

Yes, I know that. But if you get the misfire code bad enough, like I do no with the 272's, driving around will not accomplish getting rid of the code long enough to pass inspection.

I didn't even hit the 94mph mark to trip it. It went on while idleing and colling down.

funny the same thing happined to me 2 weeks ago , SES stayed on for 2-3 days and it "reset it self" . its been off for 2 weeks now .

Bump from the dead. I'm running aftermarket cams in my '05...uber lopey idle...I luv it...and I'm now getting the P0300. Using Scan Tech I see that the ECU consistently throws the code in 1st gear at 700-900RPM's. Is there a way to permanently remove that code from the ECU's list using Scan Tech?

Not yet. Try bumping up the timing some in the 0-40 load area to try to counteract it.

just bought one too, since i had my S2s installed ive been getting the P0300code, now i just erase it with my cheapo autozone scanner.

i had this same thing happen......wouldnt idle right until i set the idle timing at 15!!.....yes i said it... was gettin misfire codes as well. for me i changed out the spark plugs with a step colder and no more misfires.......every car is different though

i only have the issue when the car is cold or its extremley cold out. i have cosworth cams.
