That's true Dennis but did you know that if you drive around for awhile, some freeway (no more than 65mph) and some stop and go driving that the ECU will go into "Ready" mode?Originally Posted by Dennis F
Not in my state. In order to pass OBDII all the readiness checks need to pass. Disconnecting the battery makes them not ready.Automatic F-

Yes, I know that. But if you get the misfire code bad enough, like I do no with the 272's, driving around will not accomplish getting rid of the code long enough to pass inspection.Originally Posted by ex-honda

I didn't even hit the 94mph mark to trip it. It went on while idleing and colling down.

Bump from the dead. I'm running aftermarket cams in my '05...uber lopey idle...I luv it...and I'm now getting the P0300. Using Scan Tech I see that the ECU consistently throws the code in 1st gear at 700-900RPM's. Is there a way to permanently remove that code from the ECU's list using Scan Tech?

Not yet. Try bumping up the timing some in the 0-40 load area to try to counteract it.Originally Posted by Steiner
