If I had to guess I'd put my guess at between 3500-3700 peak...

I know it crosses vaccuum at 2k. Also remember I have 6 speed gearing, that may or may not make a difference.

Currently can hit 24.5 psi in 3rd at 3400-3500 rpm.
Previously have hit 25 psi in 3rd at 3200 rpm. All down to #wgd set up.

I find hitting max boost at 4000 rpm the car drives better, better road manners and smoother, less torque steer. Again all down to #wgd set up.

Thanks...BTW -- What are you using to control and log boost?

OK I see 24.5 psi at 2500 rpm in 6th gear too....

I have played around a ton with the WGA only to find that it is optimal to run the rod almost fully extended (so that when it opens the WG is completely open). Several people on this board told me to shorten the rod, but what that does is create in essence a double boost spike, which is not ideal for a variety of reasons. (The first spike around 3400 and then another around 5500 -- the second due to the fact that the WG is not open enough and the turbo is overspooling.) Rather than playing with the length of the WG rod, it would be better to get a stiffer WG spring especially if running the stock BCS setup.

Anyway, thanks to all that have looked at my setup and provided feedback.

Chris: i have found this much less a problem with the Forge WGA ( 18 psi )
In fact with the WGA adjusted the way it was originally ( about 5-6 turns from slip on ) I did not get the double spike. But as you may recall we ended up reducing load and trying to get rid of 25 + boost...but it was consistent. With the WGA adjusted nearly open, I get the double spike now. And increasing the WGDC makes it worse.

I may contact Forge to see if I can shim it or use a stronger one to see the effect. I will try to talk to Mike there, he really knows all about the design. I'll let you know.

Yes the stock and Forge units are different and can accommodate a slightly different approach...I am considering getting or making a better WGA when I run more boost ...
