Question Cant remove Boost Cut..HELP

i read all posts covering the boost control by ECU Flash.

Did everything as explained to eleminate boost cut.

my car is EVO VII JDM and it cuts around 1.4/1.5 Bar no matter any change.

i am using MBC to control boost, and want to run 1.5/1.6 without the cut

i have autox after 12 hours and it is really very important to get rid of this.

i read some where that some times the cut is related to spark plugs gapping but in my case it is obvious it is a very hard cut always at the same boost level.

should i raise the Boost Control load offset to 100 or more as this is the onlu thing i didnt change to the original factory settings.

thanks in advance for any help

Based on my limited understanding of the ECU, most of these tables don't matter now that you've replaced the stock system with a MBC. Usually, in an overboost situation the ECU controls the wastegate based on the error correction map. In extreme overboost situations the boost limit and timer maps serve as sort of absolute limits. But, the ECU can't control the WG anymore, so I'm not sure what is happening. I would assume fuel cut due to overboost. Can you post some logs so we can better determine what is going on?

You have not posted the table that is causing 'boost cut'....I am not on my laptop and don't remember the table name (I think it is target load), but you should be looking at max load per rpm...Some set to 319, although you really want to match to your specific setup...Also, in your case (since using an MBC) you are likely experiencing a fuel cut...

i understand that i cant control boost using ecu because iam using mbc now.
all i want to is to eleminate the fuel cut because i cant run higher boost than 1.45 bar.

cij911

yes it is fule cut. how can i change setting to make the computer accept higher boost and dont cut fule.

i know it is a safety feature but i dont need it now.

all i want is to run 1.5 - 1.6 without the fuel cut.

if u see my attachement.

- boost desired engine load tables all set to 159.4
- boost cut delay timer 1631950
- boost limit table all set to 319
- boost control load offset 60 (standard)

is there anything wrong with the above or there is another thing i have to change to eliminate the fuel cut

but i want to remove this boost cut.

it hits fuel cut with these settings?

yes and i dont understand why?

the only thing lift unchanged is the boost control load offset @60. should i change to a higher value?

Increasing the offset value will only change the desired load values. This shouldn't matter since you've already maxed out the boost limit and timer. How much boost are you atually running before you hit the cut?

I doubt it's boost cut because... well, you've bypassed the stock boost control system with the MBC. So all the values in all the boost tables are irrelevant because all those things control the stock boost control solenoid which you aren't using.

I'm more prone to think that you're blowing out the spark. Try out some new spark plugs.

It's fuel cut. It doesnt matter if BCS or MBS is controlling the boost. Too much load for too much time - fuel cut. But this is something else.

Don't mean to be an a$$ .. but make sure the offsets you have for the E7 is correct for the boost limit and the boost cut .. typically when you set to 319 for the boost limit .. there's no cut anymore ..

PM me if you need the offsets .. or think they are wrong ..

Hi

the boost limit tables on the ROM were all at stock, I've bumped them up to a flat 300, I've had no time to varify any other map, use at your own risk. Its also in a .rar format so you may need winrar to un zip it.

Your rom looks pretty screwed up .. hope you kept the original file ..
I suggest you start afresh .. I think your XML is not defined properly ..

If you need use this meanwhile .. It's a ralliart ECU with the boost timer raised slightly ..

You need to rename it a .RAR file though ..

PM me your email so I can send you the XMLs .. or get burgers22 to send to you ..

The high and low maps are all the same, which is not nice. ROM ID is 98640014 which is the same as mine, don't know why the xml should be any different for the OPs ROM.
