5 oil changes by 450 miles, dam.

So far I only did 1 oil changes and I just hit 500 miles, one at 50 miles and another one about to be done tonight. I've been running valvoline non-synthetic 10w30 for my breakin period...will change oil again at 1000miles then again at 1500 miles...after that I will run full-synthetic Amsoil or Mobile1...not sure on weight as yet 10w30 or 20w50.

Like you, I'm running a 2.3L motor now and an RnR kit with a PTE Gt35r (just changed from GT30r), Buschur 272's cams, AEM ems....looking forward to my tune soon. I guess my motor should be broken-in by 750miles or so...if I can wait that long

Anyone see if the Evo 6 radiator fits? The filler neck is closer to the intake side.

people have used it i've seen pics. if there is a mod it's minor.

also you can unweld and reweld the neck on any alumninum radiator. i've seen this more.

i think i found out the reason (stupid) that mitsu changed the radiator neck position. and that stupid reason is the intake snorkal.

Yes, the cap would fall underneath the snorkel.

So what makes more sense, creating an easily removable snorkel, or putting the water neck right next to the manifold? It should be at the very east a straight pipe with the intake engineered to fit and not the other way around.

Considering our car's have some incredible suspension componentry and geometry, incredible brakes, and a very well thought chassis in other ways, I don't see why litte things like this just seem so illogical.

It probably came down to the cost of the other available options, unless the feasibility of making it work wasn't worth the gain.

no it comes down to the fact that in wrc they don't need a large manifold and they do need nice cold air.

part of the calamity can be avoided just by twising the filler neck 90 degrees
