I'm actually not a big fan of speed density, so I haven't really followed this closely other than to offer some help.

However Bez has had his car running with this patch for some time already, and it apparently works pretty well.

This is a speed density patch for the stock ECU, its not quite done yet and hasn't been translated to other Rom's yet.

Keep in mind the Realtime tuning and the livetune/logging Ex protocol has gotten a bit more priority since that probably has more value to more people at the moment.

Not sure why anyone would be excited about switching to MAP ... now the knock filter stuff Bez found. If I can get someone to translate that for the '03 94170008 ECU, now _that_ would be sweet.

or how about map switching :] after real time tuning that would probably be the most beneficial for me

I always felt using a MAF is far superior to anything speed density can do, which is why no OEM's really use it any longer. Every system has its advantages and disadvantages.

The things that are important are..

Live tuning
Logging REAL values, and SUPERLOG (single request responds with several bits of data, very fast!)
Map Switching
Knock Filters
Shifting Octane number
E85 Flex-Fuel detection

At this time we can read and alter ANY of the variables in RAM on an Ex modded rom so this stuff is really cool

This stuff is getting much higher priority than speed density. Keep in mind there's quite a bit of effort to maintain standard MUT and OBD-II compatibility.
