Need help, only boosting 15psi

I removed the pill near the BCS, and am now able to spike 19psi, but I only hold 15psi past 6500. Before removing the pill i was at 13psi.

I can spike 21psi by going WOT at 2000rpm in 5th, otherwise I never touch 20. Is it because of my altitude? 5500 feet above sea level.

If I get a boost controller will I be able to hold more than 15psi to redline?

Also my boost offset is 80, and wgduty is maxed out across the board, highest load ive ever seen peak is 220. My load at redline is usually 165-175.

When I recently went to Nebraska, at alt. 1800 feet, I hit 275 load and held almost 200 load at redline, with the EXACT same boost levels.

yes u need a boost controler and a tune then you can run higher boost.buy a manual boost controler for under 100 bucks.altitude will affect it but not that much......

+1. a boost leak check on any evo works magic. most that haven't done it usually have more than 1 leak. i know i did, it was surprising.

High altitude means less dense air, so slightly lower load is expected, but your boost levels are unusually low. I would put the restrictors back to stock until you understand how the factory boost control works, and can adjust it.

If you need to troubleshoot it, you can put an MBC on in place of the stock boost control lines, this will allow you to set a fixed boost level and verify everything else is okay.

If you get about 13psi with little or no change, then the restrictors are mixed up, or you removed all of the restrictors, or you put the line with the restrictor back wrong, and the pill is on the actuator.

If you are getting boost you can regulate, then you need to spend some time working with the boost control tables.
