did you make a copy of your .hex files anywhere? Maybe a copy on a flash drive or copied from one directory to another? If so, try to find the very first one that you started with and open it from there and look at the immobilizer code.

Also, look in your recycle bin for the "lost" files.

If the reinstall and upload and download of your maps is failing then is your car under warrenty? IF so, call Mitsu and ask for a tow.

I just set my user level to developer (it was on beginner when I dowloaded it) and immobilzer popped up finally. It is set at 4701. Is this fine to upload? what should it be set at?

The immobilizer is specific to each vehicle. Check that number against some of your other Back up flash files to verify it is correct. IF it is correct, then try uploading.

One thought is to disconnect the battery and let the car sit for a bit. Maybe this will clear something in the ECU. I know it is a long short, but may work.

I was about to say this is probably why you didn't see it before .

Anyway assuming this code is the correct one then save it a few places in files that are set to read only. Thats what I've done .

Worse come to worse if you can't find it you will have to take it back to the dealership and get them to put back on a stock rom with the correct immobilizer. This has happened to a few other people on here and this what they ended up doing from what I rememeber.

Low battery, or bad connection from the white connector..

**OR** you somehow corrupted the rom in the ECU, in that case you can use the ECU unlocker..

What I recommend is load ECU Unlocker, and boost the battery, put your stock rom back on it..
