My ignition maps

Hi,

What do you think of my ignition maps?

I attach high octane ign map 1 and 2.

The car is a euro spec EVO IX running what you in US are referring to as 93 octane (it's called 98 octane here)

Mods are 3 inch full exhaust, walbro 255, mbc and panel filter.

Any comments? I plan to run 23 psi boost over the whole rpm range.

That looks like a nice map. Can't say exactly how it will perform for power/ knock etc, but it's a great starting point. On a IX you might be able to run more timing in the mid range.23 psi at the top might be a bit optimistic from a knock/ boost point of view. How are you planning on controlling boost?

Looks a little tame for 93 and 23psi actually. It will definitely be knock free but I have personally run more timing with more boost and no knock.

seems like 23 psi at the top is not possible du to boost taper anyway..

I am running 24-25 psi in midrange now, tapering to about 19 psi at redline. I am using an MBC to control boost (Dawes device).

Thanks, is it tame all over or in some specific rpm range?

Honestly that map looks almost as tame as my stock 03 map.

There is some advance in the midrange but the top end timing is less in several spots.
