That is how it is stock on the 03-04 roms, which makes me believe the def for that map in those roms is incorrect.

Must be. Otherwise the cars would be slugs after 3250 rpm.

In my logs if I go over 7500 RPMs the WGDC jumps to 100% but then I hit rev limit fuel cut so the boost don't have time to go up (if it could at that RPM which I doubt). With that behavior I cannot raise the rev limiter.

My ROM ID is 96420008. How can I get the correct value for that table? Do I need any special tool for that?

Looks like that the correct address for the VIII. I have not tested it yet but the values I get at the table on ECUFlash makes more sense. Same values as the ones for EVO IX. Thanks you!! I will test in my car tomorrow. For reference to others heres what ECUFlash gave as stock values.

Those are indeed the correct locations for the 94170008/14/15 ROMs.

Wow this is the reason my solenoid has been clicking from 2000 rpm to 8000 rpm. Everytime I would let the throttle go below 2000rpm the noise clicking would go away. Once I went over 2000 it could come back all the way to redline.

I just installed my GM 3 port recently and its loud as a **** and I cruise between 70-80mph on the highway on my commute to work which is upwards of 3300rpm and the solenoid clicking is driving me nuts. If I set this table to 3300rpm would it keep the solenoid at 0% until it exceeds that rpm value? Its either that or just keep my base WGDC values at 100% up til 3400rpm, both should do the trick but I wanted to understand this table a bit more.

(Slightly off topic)
Also, I noticed the error correction will hang onto the last known % adjustment until it sees a change, so if I was at +4% correction at the end of a pull...then I cruised....then got on it again it will start the next pull at +4%. Is there any way to have it reset the correction value after it sees the load or tps drop below a certain amount so I can start 'fresh' with every new pull??

mine is quiet as a mouse.

I DID however use a thing bit of foam between the GM3port and the chassis where I mounted it (same bolt hole as original...)

I have never noticed the correction hanging like you say.. that's weird..

The 03-04's run 100% WGDC until a certain load/tps/rpm, unlike the 05-06 which run 0% until a certain load/tps/rpm, basically until "boost control" turns on and it reads from the base WGDC table.

The hanging correction this is odd, might be a 03-04 thing as well.

Jamie, what update interval do you have set?

From my experience I believe the 04 also run 100% WGDC until a certaing temp is reached. Thats not a very good idea if you run a GM 3 Port since you can easily overboost when cold. It has happened to me.

I am not sure if there is an easy way to eather lower that temp limit or just make it 0% like the 05-06. That is definitely safer that running 100%.

I was thinking about using an additional GM 3 Port driven by a collant temp switch to put the turbo at WG pressure when cold but never really put much thinking into it. I just drive slow for at least 2~3 min when cold.

They run 62.5% until up to temp as default. Remember stock runs 100% WGDC all the time at WOT unless error correction kicks in.

My car runs 0% WGDC until coolant temp is reached. I have my interval set to 1 BTW. So the correction is supposed to reset back to zero under certain conditions???

Is there a way to make them run lower WGDC; something like a 40% or even 0% to avoid any overboost before reaching operating temp. I would be very insterested in that. It will help a lot specially when my wife for any reason has to borrow my car. I try to avoid that like the devil to the cross but sometines it happens.
