Help with error..
Hey,
I recently installed the LC-1 and i tried to log AFR with evoscan. Evoscan worked before i installed this, and now, this is what happens every time i go to log a run.

How would i do this? My tactrix cable used to run off the usb cable FTDI FT232, but that wont even work now. I think my tactrix runs off com 1.
When i start the Log, it will engage link, but then just shut off.

To set the COM port for you WB controller:
Select "Wideband" from the menu in EvoScan
Select "Set Wideband COM port" (or similar option, don't have EvoScan open currently)
Choose the COM port your WB is assigned to
To find your COM port:
Right click "My Computer."
Select "Properties"
Select the "Hardware" tab
Select the "Device Manager" button
Expand the "Ports" group near the bottom
If you're using a DB9 (Serial) to USB converter for your LC-1 it will be listed here as something like "Serial to USB" and it will show you the COM port you're connected to. You should also be able to set a static COM port for the device by right clicking and selecting "Properties." I've not done this myself, but I know it's possible. You would want to set a static port because COM ports for USB devices are assigned in the order that devices are connected, so it could change the next time you try to log.

I can find that tree all the way to "ports" where i do not have that. Also, when i open the logwork manager, i see it set to com 4, and there is not even com 4 in evoscan (it goes up to com 2).
Thanks for your help, i feel like im getting closer to a resolution!

You have to have a communication device hooked up when you go through the process. If there is no device, "Ports" will not show up. You should be able to select a COM port up to "ComPort 9" in EvoScan.

Ok, i got the datalogger to work, but still no AFR!! i dont understand why it wont show up.
I have the Blue and white wires grounded, and the red attached to switched 12v.
I have the Black hooked up with the LED.
The LED lights when the button for calibratrion is pressed, but it never blinks to let me know the heater element is working, and it doesnt stay on when im driving to let me know its ready.
I dont have the analog wires hooked up. Should I? This was hard to install, and really confusing. Any pointers as to why my AFR wont show up in Evoscan?

Yeah, my LED turns off when I calibrate and immediately begins to blink with ignition current. Sounds like a hardware or installation problem.

My suggestion would be to double check the connection for the LED and calibration switch. Everything else seems to be right. You may have mixed up the anode and cathode connections.
So do you have any of the analog outputs hooked up, or do you not have to have those if we use the serial cable?
I cant open the LM programmer to set values either, it just says "please connect the device to serial port and witch it on" even when i do, it still wont work? whats happening?
