I was about to order the tactrix cable and LC-1 WB 02..

I am familiar with tuning cars, but not EVO's Yet. I have down loaded Ecufalsh from openecu.org software and seen the software before.

Also the LC-1 can be integrated with the ECU Logging as well?

Just wanted to make sure I am taking the right steps.

Also I did a search, cause these seem like very typical question.. is there a FAQ section?

Yes you're ordering the right parts. Yes the LC-1 can be integrated with the ECU logging.

 

Yeah, that looks like the right cable and yes you can log AFR using the LC-1 along with other parameters from the ECU. You have a choice of logging options: Logworks, Evoscan, and Mitsulogger. Any of them will work with the cable. Good luck!

Most laptops do not have a serial (COM) port..

Check yours and if you dont have it, make sure u get a serial to usb adaptor (radio shack has it) in order to convert the serial jack of the LC1 to the USB port of your laptop.

Good luck with the trials afterwards! Dont give up it will eventuall work, call us when in need!

don't forget to download and back up your original rom before you start making adjustments!!! and then save your immobilizer code, write it down, whatever you gotta do to protect yourself from bricking your ECU.
