knock is not gear dependant. aggresive timing changes between cells is.

for example

at 2500 pm starting in the 160 load column you have the cells
12, 6, 3
then at 3000 you have
12,12,7

if you trace a line that represents your load as you move through the power band, any large jumps in timing can cause knock.

I try to keep the large jumps in timing to a minimum. If you can't get rid of the large jump in timing, check you fueling at those load points.
guess would only be able to do that on a weekend then. so meaning to say if i wan to let my torque hold longer, i increase the timing more?

increase it or hold it around no more than 8 degrees at peak torque. This is what I have been told by several well respected tuners who regularly post in this forum.

I try to hold the most timing I can without knock and while keeping the AFR values in a safe range.

ok guys. i did a 3rd gear pull just now and it seems that the torque is higher than in 2nd. so thru this graph have i max out my stock turbo? is there any chance i can still go further? could i let my torque drop from 6k rpm instead. aggressive timing?

Change your Units to imperial, Metric will make it look funky
192 KW=257 HP, 347Nm = 255FtLb

just change the plot range TO portion at the end of the run to the highest rpm you hit.. or 1 - 200 rpm less..
