VVT map

I just installed HKS272mivec/280 without changing the VVT map, still use 9JDM VVT map.
My question is "do I have to change that VVT map, no ideas how to change it, to get better performance or can leave it unchanged? and is it possible to copy only VVT map from FQ360? Any idea?

Thx

How does it idle with those cams on standard VVT map?

You can upload the FQ360 map (if you have it) or the FQ360 VVT map. I see no reason to adjust it with those cams, if idle is good. You might need to reduce low to mid end boost though.

Why? Does the FQ360 have those cams?

Negative. With cams the backpressure from improved VE at higher RPM will sometimes lead to a reduction in timing. As far as a MIVEC map for the HKS, alot depends on the cam engineering. I assume these came with a cam card as most HKS cams do? If so post up the values (everything included on said card) and we can take a look. Just based on my own usage of the 280 exhaust I can tell you it will want a few degrees of advance on the upper rpm range to be happy.

Thx. for reply me. The idle from using the standard VVT map with HKS is almost the same with OEM cam, I had some adjust in richer idle fuelmap and +2 from idle ignition for helping idle stability.
I shall upload the FQ360 VVT map and will tell you what the result is.

Thx.
