How the heck do I get ecuflash to work on the MAC? I downloaded it, but I dont have the application to open the folder.

What other software do I need?

It's a zip file. You just need some unzipping software such a stuffit or one of the GNU tools.

Tried stuffit expander, no avail.

What is a GNU tool? I checked a site and it describes it as a pre-built binary toolchain.

Anybody else that can point me to an unzip tool to open ECUFlash on my MAC?

There's are a set of gnu tools to manage regular zip files, but they are more trouble than they are worth if you don't already use them. I'm kind of surprised that stuffit didn't work. It should.

The way I see it, you have two options:

1) email colby and ask him to create a more mac friendly release
2) Have somebody else send you an unzipped version (I can do this, but not until after work this evening).

hey guys, im using my macbook pro and i have ecuflash and i can read the ecu but i cannot write a rom image to the ecu, what is going on?

in the ecuflash log it says

"[18:14:53.822] rkrv: can't read response payload"

whats wrong?

does it matter? whatever works on my mac holy crap! i didnt realize how old this thread was haha but i just got a evoscan gps and want to start using evoscan and ecu flash.....im a newbie to this so any help would be appreciated
