Its the same as the IX, there are notes in there for doing the VIII as well. The only thing that matters is what year it is. 03-04 are 1681 and 1685, whereas the 05 is 1281/1285 like the IX.

I'm a little confused about what addresses to use in the xml file for disabling lean spool on my 04 Evo 8 (ROM 96420008). I've seen 1681/1685 like in the above post, but I've also seen 1680/1684, as in the "dummies" thread, as follows:

<table name="Lean Spool Stop RPM" category="Misc" address="1684" type="1D" level="1" scaling="RPMStatLimit"/>
Is the above code what I should be adding to my .xml file?

I guess even the "dummies" thread is above my head!

Thanks,
Rich

I'm always a few steps behind here, so I haven't learned enough about the periphery bit tables to add that to my xml with confidence. If someone can help me out with the old way, I'd appreciate it.

the new version of ecuflash has all the periphery bits. mrfred's periphery thread This has some of the bits defined. Ive got my start/stop values the same as well as the periphery bit off.
