adding cams mild modding sorting out idle jdm 8mr
hi all, new to this so forgive me in advance
i am now located in part of the world where i have no access to hire a top tuner, so forced into learning more myself so would love to find some help if possible
i have purchased Tactrix OpenPort 1.3U and one Innovate Motorsports LC-1 and will be using logworks with ecuflash plugin and probably play around with evoscan also, should get them in the mail soon
My car is jdm 8 MR with no mods to ecu, simply changed the exhaust and filter and IC piping for now, i have a greddy profec b2 boost controller fitted
I will be fitting some jun 272 cams, retainers and springs and an uprated actuator in the next week or so, Would appreciate some help/info/direction with where to go from here. I guess the car will run like a bag of spanners with the cams fitted so i guess sorting out the fueling and idle will be first? then go from there, have been doing alot of reading but any more info would be appreciate, also if anyone would be willing to offer any help would be great, i am located in asia but english.

Off boost fueling should not be to far out as the ECU runs closed loop, but look at your fuel trims as you have a non standard intake fitted. One common method to smoth idle is to advance igniton to 7 deg.
One major piece of advice is to get the cams dialed in properly, this is an area that can cause a lot of problems if not done in the correct way.
As an aside the 8MR has duel boost solinoeds so the Greddy boost controller is not essential to get higher boost.

i have read ur posts on the mlr also 
i could do with a little more info as i have never even opened a rom yet, will be getting one later from a standard 8mr jdm to play with. Just ordered my cables and been reading up, signed up for openecu but have yet to have any account activated
