("edit - high fuel and low fuel are back to back so you could reuse that segment and remap lowfuel someplace else!

edit2 - high timing and low timing are also back to back ...")

yes, but if you removed a great deal of extraneous stuff, how much of the below 80% fuel map do you need for a low octane map? same MIGHT be said of the timing map too.

JB's map was a bit of overkill for most of us. An enhanced map from 4000 to 7400,
from 80% to 280%

Why would the low fuel and timing maps need to be double size? Most want to run in the high maps and that is where the resolution would be most needed. Now this would be an issue for people wanting dual maps and stuff.

Tephra, I am in for any patches you can "dream" up. Running an 11 Rom if you need a beta tester.

I should have remembered that little fact from when I rescaled to 300!! Maybe using your coding prowess you can remove that feature too!!

I think Razorlab has been doing something like that for a while for better control in troubled areas.

Yeah, the reason I posted that particular version was to show the overkill that was capable even within the stock confines of the stock 20x21 ROM. David, sorry to rope all this extra work for man. Just remember me when you are famous?

A little OT but what's the chance of getting the ability to adjust timing in less than whole number increments.. 5.5 for example. Is this a function of ECU Flash itself?

it is kinda funny... but then again with interpolation its the same as stock.
but yeah... normal driving takes up only a few cells

If you are asking David, I think it will be awhile. If you are asking me and want to see the "street" version, I have yet to decide if I am going to post since the basic idea is out there and apparently has been implemented by others already.

I was really being an a$$. I know this stuff is difficult and take time. Plus, its not like he has anything else to do.

It amazes me how much work has been accomplished in the last few months.

Extra cells would be great. How can I add them?

In the meantime I've scaled the cells to provide more resolution in the areas of greatest change to nearly all maps in the ECU. The car drives super duper smooth now, no more sawtooth anything, way responsive and has lots of punch when tipping into the throttle.

On a side note I'm interested in what people know about the EGR on the EVO. Are there any maps for this? I'm getting 300 miles to the tank and that includes goofing around too. The best I've gotten so for is 350 miles on a tank, took just under 12 gallons of fuel to fill it back up all the way and I think that I could do better if the EGR map could be modified.

Here is an image of the scaling I am currently testing out. It does not give as much resolution as JB's map but it still helps a good bit.

Yea I have but not to the extreme JB has in that example. It's interesting. I wish I had the time to mess around with that radical of a map change. Maybe I should set aside a couple days to test and play.

Cool stuff JB as always.
