Quick rundown:

ECU Unlocker for 1.28 was up and running?

Key was turned to start with car off?

ECUflash was opened after the car had been linked and the key turned on?

what i have found with the unlocker is that it doesnt do much but enable you to get your immobilizer code from the ecu so you can rebuild the map.... so maybe that is working, and you are just expecting more ?

I just want to pull my rom so I can do the NLTS patch, but my car hates me and won't let me read it. And it was connected before I opened Ecuflash.

you probably need to go thru, remove 1.29 and make sure 1.31/2 or whatever is off of your computer.... all folders are gone, and all registry entries are deleted. Those you will have to do manually. Then go back and install 1.29a and try again... that should work.

Are you sure you're turning the key all the way to ON (past Accessory), and you're doing so RIGHT before trying to read with EcuFlash ?

i had this problem and my friends did as well when i was tuning their cars. i have found a solution and i know the cause of this.

Cause: LOW BATTERY.

when your tuning the fix is this..follow this steps..
The Fix:
1. Turn off all the lights inside the car, turn off radio, basically all electronic gadgets.
2. Turn ur engine on, and drive around your block for at least 5min.
3. Turn engine off, hook on the Tactrix Cable and flash your ecu.

this worked on every single one of my friends cars, and mines as well. so i believe this will fix your problem. good luck.

no problem. just make sure you drive around for a lil while, it will give ur battery time to recharge..and then go straight home and hook up ur tactrix cable and then have fun tuning your car.. let me know what happens..

Well, didn't get too far..haha Drove around, made sure everything was off and still got the same error. Did it with another car on another laptop and different version of ecuflash and same thing. The tactrix cable is brand new. Is it supposed to say anything in the bottom right hand corner of ecuflash, becuase all mine says is Serial Port 1.3 Universal 9*24r or whatever. Should it say mitsubishi when connecting it to the car?
