Tactrix cable not working with MacBook

I got my cable about a week ago, already had EcuFlash and Mitsulogger installed on Parallels, plugged it in and no go. Searched the web, this forum as well as other forums and tried everything I hadn't already tried multiple times, still no go. So I figured it must be the parallels thing messing with it. Got a separate partition and installed windows xp on it with sp2. Installed EcuFlash, Mitsulogger, and EvoScan and the cable still isn't recognized. Tried the usual "fixes" again multiple times and still not working. Any ideas on this? Could it be a bad cable? Thanks in advanced for any help with this.

I would email tactrix. I have a Mac book and it works fine.
