AEM UEGO Wideband AF issue..

I have been logging my AF through my AEM using Mitsulogger.. what does it mean when it sometimes logs 1.08 (example) compared to what I usually see (like 11.0-15.2) ??? it will usually do the 1.x till the car gets warm.. then it switches to what I am used to...

Thanks!

Post the logs. Sound kinda odd. My AEM logs the AFR correctly whether its warm or not. How long does it take to give reasonable readings?

I will try and find some where it is doing that... it is reverting to P01 instead of P00

What is the difference in the Modes?

Thanks Dwayne@!

I happened to have the manual out since I was helping someone with the cable install last week. P0 shows AFR and P1 will show lambda.

So if for some odd reason it is switching from P1 to P0 then the 1.08 would make sense since according to the chart that would be around 14.7AFR.

I asked this same questions about 2 months ago and noone knew what I was talking about. The unit is changing to Lambda, as someone already posted. I can't figure out why it will change on its own from Lambda to AFR? Some people said it was a wiring issue. I don't know what the wiring has to do with the mode it decides to go to. Next step is to learn to read as Lambda. I keep picturing Nerds in my head when I hear Lambda lol.

It's reading the afr in lamda. Mine is doing the same thing occiasionally and I dont know why either. I called AEM and discussed it with them, basically they said it shouldnt be doing that and I'm going to take it out and change the setting to normal AFR and to Lamda and back to AFR and see if it keeps it in AFR settings.

Question: When my Uego reads lamda the gauge also reads 1.00 as well as what it logs. Is yours doing this as well?

Mine just reads what it is logging... I called AEM today and they said that because I have no cat that I probably fouled out the sensor and will need to replace it... but i have only had the AEM for like a year.. hmmmmmm

If it somehow wasn't grounded properly maybe that would cause it to switch modes? In any case it hasn't happened to me yet...even though I am guessing from other people it might happen in the near future.

Shawn: That response they gave you is pretty bogus...did you also try on the AEM forums they have?

I do have 1 other gauge hooked up to the same ground, not to mention my SMC kit is grounded in the same place too. Is it possible the other components could throw the voltage? I dont think it would. If it was I would think it would also give issues to the other components.
