anyone have a "Stage 2" map?

when i messed with open source on my WRX i used a generic map. (note:not a protune like mellon jestr ect) Does anyone have one that i could use for an evo with a TBE and a cone filter?

The reason i ask is because i don't have a WB and i don't wanna adjust fuel trims from stock. all i'd like is an adjusted map for my mods with a stationary rev limter and maybe NLTS.

Anyone?

In my opinion you should get a wideband and go from there.

Even without a wideband you can get your timing map tuned, which will make it safe. It will run rich with the factory fuel settings, but nothing is going to blow up. A blanket tune is no better than tuning blind without a wideband.

Yes, i want a base map. i don't need a protune, just a base stage 2 map for an evo.

I have one too for you...

It just changes all of your timing to 7's, and your fuel map looks like a billion year of continental drift.

Dude, use Audi-speak. Is that stage 1+ (pronounced one plus) or stage 2- (pronounced two minus) ?

To the original poster: just use your stock map or stage 1 map until you get tuned. You'll be fine. Turn down the boost a tad if you're worried.

Look man. You obviously have the hardware to flash your car, which means you are able to log it. Log it, and find out if its knocking. Read the amateur tuner sticky thread, and get your timing map tuned to a safe level. Your a/f will be conservative, but safe. Basically stop being lazy.

I still think tuning without a wideband is like screwing without a rubber. Sooner or later you will get something you can't fix.

It's still better than a blanket "Stage X" tune.

Honestly this is one of the funniest things I have heard in a long time. Great point and really funny.

That is really good. You should win a gold star. LOL
EDIT: It had to go in my sig!! Way to good to be lost in the archives.

a TBE and Cone filter is a stage 1 Evo by my definition.
