There was a post about this earlier today and now I can't find it. Has anyone tried them yet?

^How would you know? You have an 8.
Also i don't have definitions for my ECUFlash for any of those IX maps, so i have no idea what roms they are for.
And why would anyone want to use one?...

holy negative timing batman. what a load of crap.
theyre great maps if you want to run 0* at peak boost. personally i would rather be knocking a little and running a sea of 8s
edit: btw, eipracing <> eiptuning.

I started the thread. It was later deleted and i received a warning from a moderator by private message for (Vending without Vendor Status

I have nothing to do with this company, was just curious as to if the maps were any good.
I have a feeling your thread might get deleted as well.
lol I dont know what there is so much negativity in this thread
1. My car is tuned by Paul@EIP. He has been tuning cars for years. My car puts down numbers equal to other big name bay area tuners
2. Yes they are really free and a great marketing strategy if you ask me. Sort of like giving away a free taco at taco bell, knowing that a majority of ppl will buy more than just a taco, offsetting the cost of the "free" tacos they gave away, and even resulting in profit. For local ppl, they will give you a taste of the power than can be had and hoping for more (ie...custom tune)
3. These are base maps, so of course they are conservative. Will they yield maximum results? Of course not, thats impossible with a base flash, hence the 0 timing at peak torque. That is only possible with a full dyno tune and at least some data logs. Every tuner has a library of base maps they work with for certain (common) car setups, these are equal to those types of basemaps
4. THEY ARE FREE! Jesus, are you ppl really going to ***** about free power?
As for opening them, just use the base 015 definition
