Ecuflash help

I got 2 main questions; one is pretty easy the other I need some insight from the pros on here:

1. I just got a 2006 JDM Evo IX and I know u can set the stationary rev limiter, what is a good value to set it at to ensure no damage is done to the car? Btw, it is my daily driver and I intend to keep this car for very long at minimal cost.

2. Another friend with an Evo IX told me this Mivec map is good and unlocks some power in the car (see below for picture). I plan to load this map onto my car without changing the AFR and timing, will this result in knock? Or is this safe? Also do I load this on all Mivec maps?

Thanks, and sorry for being a noob!

You just need to replace this map with "VVT map 1" in ECUflash. If you have the cable to flash your ecu, then you can also Datalog and check for knock using Mitsulogger.

Evoscan works. Both programs due pretty much the same thing. Just different makers.

Why would you want to to turn down boost? You can turn down boost with ECUFlash is if you are using ECu Controlled Boost, other then that, no idea.

As far as the JDM Mivec map, your should be pretty close to the map you have. I think it is different on lower load cells. Your AFR might change so make sure you log it after with a wideband.
