guys,

i have a jdm 2005 evo9
i have down loaded the lastest version of ecuflash 1.34
got the tatrix cable to work
got evoscan to work.
i down loaded the rom from my ecu and it comes up as an unknown rom.

i have tried xml file 88570008 by adding it to the evo rommetadata files.
when i do this and i try to down load the rom from the car the following error message pops up "ecuflash.exe has stop working".

but if i remove the 88570008xmll file the rom comes back up as unknown.

i have tried previous versions of ecuflash 1.29 and 1.3 and when i add 88570008xml file to the rommetadata files ecuflash wont open.

am i doing something wrong?

any assistance will be appreciated.

 

trying to attach hex image of rom downloaded from my car but not getting thru.

i get the following when its an unknown rom under rom info

how do you know which xml file to use?

 

post up a copy of your rom so I can help

 

the hex file wont attach as an attachment, tried zipping it and the file size is too big.
