need a driver

i need driver fdd2xx.dll

im not to computer savvy, anyone have a link of where i can find this?

Do you mean ftd2xx? Reinstall ECUFlash should do the trick. I would assume you've already searched the machine for it?

If its a windows machine and you have system restore turned on there is a copy somewhere on the machine. Just have to search for it.

i have xp, midget hooked my computer to his car and it told us that was the driver i needed, if i need to search for it, how do i do that? im really not computer savvy

but maybe it is ftd, i will go hook it up to my buddys car and find out

Start->Search->Files and Computers->All Files and Folders

Put in the dll name and hit search (make sure the drive points to the drive where either ECUFlash is installed or the system drive).

But it comes with ECUFlash so a reinstall of that should put it on.

ok i just look at it again and is says "error loading ftchipid.dll"

This machine had ECUFLash on it for the first time when the problem happened? I.e have you installed previous versions? Has it ever worked on this machine?

Could you open the ECUFlash folder (wherever you installed it)...I suggest Program Files\ECUFlash

Then \drivers\x86 and see if the driver is there?
