I just looked at your logs... Holy ****!!

Please do NOT do any more WOT runs with that...

Can you post your AFR and Timing maps?

You can use MS Paint to post them...

No, don't upload the whole rom... Just capture a screen shot of your Timing Map 2 and your High Octane map via MS Paint. You'll need to upload the images to a web-based site like photobucket (free) and then link them here.

Keep in mind I am NOT a professional tuner but know enough to guide you through. Send me a PM quick, I have an idea for you...

Between Wicked E and the others, it seems like you have some good advice. Read some of the How-to tutorials on using ecuflash if you are uncomfortable reflashing.

1. Determine why load looks odd (per C6's suggestion)
2. Post high oct. timing map and fuel map.
3. Check for boost leaks (per Wicked)
5. Retard timing (3+ *) throughout rev range, especially where knock is present.
5. Log to see if knock decreases.
6. At your earliest convenience, GET A WB02.
7. Do not drive the car hard (unless logging) until things get cleared up.

Yes, this tune is terrible. Find a new tuner or tune the car yourself, either way you are going to need a wideband.. And I dont suggest driving the car under boost until the tune is fixed. Can you hear audible knock right now?

Not wise until you get your current issues sorted. Since it is your DD and you have no choice but to drive it, do not get into boost.

I agree with everything so far. If you guys review I posted the roms on page 1 of this thread...they are available for download. Once again they are HERE for your viewing.

I want to make sure this is clear...there is no "tune" on the car. The first set of logs were taken from a JDM IX GSR stock map (ID 89280002). The second set of logs were taken from a US IX GSR stock map (ID 88590014). The only reason the second logs were taken with the car running with so much knock is because 2byte load needed to be confirmed as working since this car came with a unique rom ID (89980000 - JDM IX GT). The logs indicate that it's the correct address and load is being logged so the knock can be more precisely traced now in evoscan.

rolly1818 - did you do the second set of logs on the same stretch of road around the same time? I just want to make sure you weren't on a gradient of any kind else it'll affect the logs.

I haven't had a chance to thoroughly compare the two sets of logs, but even though the car is knocking like hell, it has slightly decreased since your first logs. The timing difference between the US IX and JDM IX maps would most likely account for this slight change.

Now that you've logged load, we can start pulling off the timing from the map.

rolly1818, I was told that this evo was brought in by your Uncle, is this true?

I've also been told that the reason the rom cam so heavily altered was because the owner of the black IX GT who was running the ecu before said his car was running on Toluene in Japan with a much larger turbo...apparently a 30R.

The ROM ID that is being discussed in this thread is exactly what I got tonight when I read my JDM IX GT Ralliart ECU, part number RA186576R1.
