I'm using an interesting strategy with the timing curve / boost curve and AFR.

I'd like to keep it on my side for now.

That said, I highly doubt I could do this with a MBC. The ecu-boost control so far as been very vital to this.

Went out again tonight to dial in some more boost but didn't get past the first pull. Ignition is breaking up.

I put some new Iridium temp 8 plugs in when I switched to 91 oct a couple months ago and now I remember I just put them in straight out of the box. I think the gap is at .028 or .029. Lil' too big for 26psi plus.

I left my tools and extra plugs at the shop so I will swap the plugs out tomorrow.

Thanks for starting this thread, Razor. I'm very interested in your "research".

I thought a logging pull should be started at a much lower RPM. Do you always log from 2,750 and up?

For full sweeps I start at 2500 or so.

Keep in mind the car loads a little differently with a pull from 2500, and a pull from 3500, etc etc

I do alot of different starting points to establish good data. For setting boost, it's very important so you don't get overshoots from different RPM start points. Reason is the boost ramps up much quicker in higher RPM than lower RPM.

You could have the boost control dialed in from a 2500 RPM sweep, then get on the hwy, downshift into 3rd from 4th and overshoot.

I'm wondering if i can get you to get my ecu boost control "tuned". Would really like to get everything from you to hook my stock solenoid back up.

Changed my plugs and re-installed my open filter at the shop today. Did a couple quick pulls on the way home. 26.5 psi with no spark plug break up and no knock, still on 91 octane.

This weekend I will get some more logs with data.

Hasn't Scot Grey been running an 87 tune on his Eclipse for, like, forever?
