tuning idle
im very new to tuning, and im not comfortable enough yet to tune for wot. And i am tuned anyway so i dont need to yet. But i do want to try and tune my idle. At idle my afr is in the 15's sweeping back and forth. every once in a while it will dip to all the way lean on my uego. then maintaing the 15's. to get my car to maintain a pretty solid 14.7, what adjustments can i make? add fuel to the the lower rpm cells in the fuel map? what about timing? any help?
ya i got the same problem, but mine is at 15.9 a lot of times. to high and I got the Uego also. I guess some WB have a front 02 sensor simulator so you can switch the point. I dunno if ours does that or not. But you cant just add fuel in your map because that is for open loop not closed loop.

one thing i noticed was that all three ignition maps, have different timing for the idle rpm and load. should they all be the same, say all be at 7* in the idle tables?
sounds like your scaling is off somewhere or you have a vacuum leak somewhere which is throwing off your scaling. Does your idle dip when the afr's change a whole point or 2?
download mistulogger
log o2 feedback, fuel trim low @ idle as well as other parameters you normally log
post up your log
7 is fine but if your running aftermarket cams you will want to raise that a bit to smooth out your idle, but thats your choice some ppl like a chopping idle some dont

yes the idle does dip when the afr goes up a few. when i log for those parameters, what should i be looking for. What values should they be? and is it worth it to change all the timing maps to the same idle timing values.?
The idle is not going to hover at 14.7 at idle all the times. Especially when using different widebands requiring free air calibrations, having camshafts, and lower vacuum than stock. Any leaks introduced into the exhaust system will also throw off the reading.
You cannot change idle AFR with fueling maps.
