Evo rich at idle and during spool up

Guys i tried making a thread before and got no answers so im gonna try one more time

Mods are as follows

5858 turbo
S2 cams with springs and retainers
Headstuds
Map rev 3 intake and 65mm tb
Ets fmic
3 inch tbe
Walbro 255 pump
Fic 1100cc injectors
Speed density

Car is a evo 9

After i put everything together the car started up right away but i noticed it was idling really high about 1800 rpm and running rich at idle. 12.5

I checked 3 times for boost leaks and fixed what i found and it helped with the idle a little bit but still running rich. I swapped back in the stock tb and that helped even more with the idle. I was actually able to get it to idle around 1000 rpm but again i still have the issue with running rich at idle and during spool up. Sometimes its so bad that it stalls the car out when im trying to move off in 1st gear. Im not sure what else to check.

The tuner said that the issue is with my car and not with the tune. He advised me that the bov spring (tial q) is too soft and should not be open at idle. I swapped from the white spring that was in there to the plain spring and still getting the same problem. I checked the o2 sensor data and its showing me .8 volts so the ecu sees its rich nd fuel trim is -7 and -12. So its trying to take it out but clearly not working. During cruising afrs are between 14 and 15.3. Can anyone give me some new direction on where or what else to check?

Thanks

Did you reset your idle through evoscan? May want to try to get that reset and see what it does, that maybe your issue. Plus on the bov spring what does your car idle at vacuum wise? I know i use a white spring with s2 cams and my car is fine.

No I was meaning did you set your idle with your biss screw? Just looking back if your between 12 and 16 vacuum while warm says you should be using the white spring. 16 through 19 would be unpainted and will cause comp surge. After rereading again maybe your idle just needs a tweek if it was running perfect before. Maybe something knocked it out a little specially if your in the -7 to -12 range that would mean it needs an adjustment being as your seeing idle is to rich

Yea i disabled sas in evoscan and tried adjusting the idle with the 65mm tb but it didnt really work. I swapped back in the stock tb and tried again and it helped. But still running rich. Ive gotten the idle to settle right between 1000 and 1100 but still need to figure out whats causing the car to run so rich when at idle.

Ah ok well if you have done that already id say its more of a tuning issue being it should have fixed itself by now if it wasn't tuning.

Well after the tuner suggested it was my car and i checked everything over 10 times and couldnt find a thing wrong i flashed a tune from my friends car with similar mods to see what would happen and the car ran great. It was in the tune. Thanks for the words of advice though
