I use ecuflash, I use Ecutek also.
I offer tuning services for people who are not interested in tuning their own cars.
If you are a self tuner then..........self tune. If you tell me before you arrive that you need the car tuned so you have a starting point I will tell you I am not interested.
Most people have good intentions, and I have done alot of cars for alot of customers.
We do not offer a course in tuning at this time.
We do not offer email tuning at this time.

Jack of trades you can go where you want we are not your only option.

Sean

Please tell me how you use 4 different tunes on a daily basis.

Most of us here would like pumpgas/racegas settings to switch back and forth between the mon-fri daily driving and then turn into weekend warriors. With all of the mods in your sig, I'm sure you are very familliar with how the ecu controls timing and fuel maps-- so you have 2 choices.

Since the ecu uses amongst other things load and rpm to decide ignition and fueling needs, you can go 2 routes on the same map.

A.) You can keep your right foot off of the gas, drive around part-throttle, and keep the revs down..... Of course this just never ends up happening because Evo owners always run into 'that guy' on the road that needs to be tought a lesson (lol)

or

B.) Use your boost controller ( this is why I love mine in the cockpit) to keep you from ever getting to certain load points that pump gas can't handle.

And I didn't have to spend $1300.

Sean is that what you're using on my evo ix? I've been tuned twice by you but dont know what you're using. I just want you to tune my new 35r setup with/without meth. And then I want to be able to switch maps. My only uses intended for EcuFlash are switching maps and logging data so if I have a problem I can send it to you. Standalone is a long ways away for me. That would come with a full build, race gas and the kitchen sink if you know what I mean. right now I want stock block, stock ecu....and keep it simple.

Ok buddy now take your statement....think long and hard about ALL the options you need to add to the Fcon Vpro to CONVIENTLY switch maps with a flick of a button. Then give me the total cost.

if you look at the op he wants to go back ab forth from 93 to 93/meth,with the vpro he dont need a tcable or a laptop.

You don't need a laptop with Tephra's v5 patch either. Just a flip-switch setup which I offer pre-made or the user can follow my instructions and make their own even cheaper. Once the ECU is tuned and reflashed with the patch, its just a flip of the switch. If you buy and install a GM 3 port boost control solenoid (its just much better than using the stock BCS and pills), each tuned map can be set for a totally different boost too.

Each map can have different settings for:

Injector scaling
Fuel maps
Ignition maps
Boost maps

Definitely the cheapest option for 'on the fly' switchable tunes. This definitely opens up a lot of options for tuners who use ECUFlash such as Ivey and all the others.

Razorlab has been using the v5 patch and flip-switches on quite a few evo's at the dyno shop he tunes at and he seems to be very happy with the results.

I am going to look into some of Tephra's mods perhaps I could integrate some of these mods. I worry about some of it, as it may be untested and could cause reliability problems for my customers. Either way, the map switching sounds quite interesting.

That's the Spirit Sean!!!! This is all I want to do. Switch maps if I'm in a pinch. Sean wouldn't it be better for the engine to be able to switch to a pumpgas map if I run out of meth rather than have a tune for meth/30psi and the all of the sudden drop the meth and run at wastegate? I would think the car would run like crap. I'm no tuner so I don't know.

If you tune the fuel and ingnition cells in the wastegate boost range for that specific reason, its fine really. It just sucks if you didn't have any alky for a while and your car has NO *****! lol

The nice thing about the map switching patch is you can use it as a failsafe for the alky kit so if it runs out during a run or gets clogged, you can set it up to automatically switch to the safer map immediately, which is verrry nice.

I'm still trying to persuade Sean Ivey to let me switch his maps. I'll just have to wait and see.
