OK, read all of the manuals for these and V5. It is unclear whether it is safe to fiddle with these when used together.

Would there be any problems with using this and the V5 rom together for more refined boost control? How would these parameters affect boost control in alt map mode?

you should be good to use them, basically all you are doing is changing the scaling of the tables...

I use directboost with V5 so its all good

 

Both work perfectly fine with v5.
