Exclamation need everyones help..

alright well im trying to load a map up to my friend 04 evo... im very familiar with ecuflash but we are stumped and dont know what to do. As i said before i tried to load a map to his car but something is wrong with it. its accepts the flash and everything but in the process it starts deleting all this BS such as kernels and what not and takes a while to be flashed rather then how long it takes to flash mine... its not the immobilizer code or anything... the car doesnt start and we cant contact the previous owner due to the fact that he has just disappeared... the original owner said that he did indeed get the car tuned but like i said the car wont start with a map that we re trying to put on his. We think that the ECU itself may be locked or something but we dunno... anythings possible so im trying to get this fixed up for him. Anyone have any ideas?

romid's?

ecu flash taking a while just means there were lots of differences between what you are trying to flash and what already exists...

If you are trying to load a different map on his car, just take the timing and fuel tables from the map your trying to load and copy them directly over to his map. Just make sure you monitor AFR, and Knock, Good Luck!!!
