ok so I am running a 2.3 with a hta 35r can I tune my ecu to get 600whp level? What is the max power you guys have seen out of a stock ecu. I am going to be running e-85

 

I'm interested in this. I bet whoever did it was running MAF Translator. Lucas English made over 500 WHP with his stock turbo AND ECU so it must be pretty high. But who would dump money on internals, intake manifold, water to air intercooler, a massive turbo, etc. and still run the stock ECU?

No one does that! Which actually makes it cool.

 

CBRD did 499.7whp on there mustang with stock maf/ecu. That puts its very close to 600ish on a DJ. I hate comparing the two dynos though

 

we do it all the time.

plenty of cars here 400-450whp on stock ecu (easily 500-600whp on DJ's)

Tuning Tech in CA made like 580ish on stock ECU and MAF. There is also a video on YouTube of an Evo on stock ECU over 600whp.

 

With a MAFT or MAFT pro you can alter the load the car is running in at a given boost level and maintain resolution. Theoretically this means there is no limit other than how fast it can react. I can set my car to be in the 200% at 30psi or 300% where I have it now with my 5 bar. The stock MAF is the actual limit, not the ECU.

 

Some people at higher hp levels with bigger turbos have had to epoxy their MAF screen, as some have been sucked in towards the compressor.
