Limp mode
When you get a mis-fire code, does the car pull timming or go in to limp mode?
Can anyone explain all that for me? It would be appreciated, thanks

i seen a few people on here refer to that as limp mode, thats why i was asking.
So does it pull a certain amount of timming through the whole map or does it go in to low oct map? cause my low and high are the same right now.

A misfire usually triggers a P0300 code and a SES light. But afaik no power is lost, unless it is associated with knock, boost cut or what the ECU detects considers a engine damaging condition.
I have used the term limp mode before in reference into to the engine break noise my car makes after throwing a p0300. My afrs go extremely lean and I virtually can not accelerate. This condition persists until I let off of the gas and sometimes until I pop the clutch.
