You could velcro that sucker on the dash.

I almost bought an Acus with XP and 7.5" screen for $375. Ended up buying a Compaq pos with vista for about the same, wish I didn't.

Are those logs blocky due to the number of logged items?

Speed and coolant and such is always blocky, probably the update time of the Ecu.

Here is a zoomed in part of a small section of the log, lots of samples/sec:

The first post has knock sum shown. Couple counts every once and awhile.

I didn't show it in the other posts as it was the first map used for the weekend and it had some high knock sum, we where using a fuel I've never tuned for before (a custom blend from a local supplier) and I found it didn't like a leaner mixture at 4300 feet with the heat. The car was originally tuned at sea level with no knock sum.

I didn't show the knock sum in those logs because, unfortunatly, I know how Evom can be sometimes. The 1st post shows the final map for the weekend anyway.

an edit is better than a weeks worth of drivel, I just like track logs.

I've managed to get some with an old thinkpad, it can barely get xp up but it gives ok resolution. getting the computer into the glove box is the way to go though.

also tried a little 7 inch screen computer. the bigger screen is worth it.

Cool man, nice solution to track logging. As I've said elsewhere, I just CADed up a bracket for ~$80.

I have been considering the everex cloudbook it is $349.00 and has 30 gig hard drive. The hard drive is a weakness in that it can't withstand as mush abuse as solid state but I like the idea of storage. There are some fujitsu tablets on ebay with transflective screen and tablet style. These are ideal as they are more visible in sun for those that want to view gauges etc. while logging. The fujitsu's are at leat twice as much though Right now I'm using this giant desktop replacement 17 inch laptop with seatbelt on it in passenger seat. Not a good solution but does the job. Anyway gotta buy something but been putting it off as I would rather buy other stuff for car instead.

Bryan very cool by the way

I think that the car owner is leaving some performance on the table with that really small splitter!
