how to turn off knock control?

how to turn off knock control?
because i'm tired of stock ECU... it's VERY careful....
without knock i have knock retard 20-30 on redline
i want try to disable knock control, how i can do it?

Do you have a built motor and thats why it shows knock or is the tune that aggressive? I can tell you how to do it but if its real knock or you dont have some device like detcans then its not recommended to turn it off.

post up your timing+fuel map + mods.

20-30 @ redline is a lot, so either your mods are causing it or you are running too much timing...

i wouldn't turn it off - i would fix the problem...

heh, i want to fix problem to! but i try rich afr and very low timing and 0.7-0.8 boost... stil have knock, i'l pm you with maps and mods

just post your maps dude - pics will be enough...

that way other peeps can help too.. (ie better tuners that me :P)

Remember this is ONLY A LAST RESORT AND NOT RECCOMMENDED!!! It will eventually cause damage to the motor if it is not tuned properly-

Add this to your .xml:

<table name="ECU Periphery0" category="Misc" address="faa" type="1D" level="1" scaling="Hex16"/>
</rom>

Then change the value to 0x5650

I see a "my motor melted last night" post coming here soon...

20 to 30 knock counts is your motor being more than careful, it's saving itself.

Find out exactly what is tripping that knock count before turning knock control off.

30 counts is almost maxing knock count at 36

No it is specific to each ECU (at least the address for sure) - It is bitcoded value on a specific address - you need to find the address of your ECU perephery0 - and then change the knock sensor bit to zero.
for example standard bit value is like this:
0 1 0 1 0 1 1 0 1 1 0 1 1 0 1 0
which is 56DA (hex)

you need to change it this way:
0 1 0 1 0 1 1 0 0 1 0 1 1 0 1 0
which is 565A (hex)

5650 is this:
0 1 0 1 0 1 1 0 0 1 0 1 0 0 0 0
which means that in addition to knock sensor also immobiliser and rear 02 is "turned off"

My current map is tuned on the dyno on 93oct gas with both timing and fueling being very conservative. I'm tuned for 30PSI but I run 25PSI daily on the streets. My hardware is detailed in my signature.

I have been running 100oct race gas for the past week and doing multiple WOT street runs everyday under the hot sun. 80% of the runs are clean without a single knock but some runs are ruined by heavy knocks appearing from below 4000rpm and continuing till 7500rpm. Stock ECU just pulls massive timing when that happens. The car is inconsistent from one run to the other which makes it impossible to do any road racing with it. I have just about had it with the factory knock sensor. How do I turn the knock sensor off on the 88570008 ROM?

I want to turn it off completely till the good developer magicians like Tephra incorporate the feature of turning on the knock sensor only above a certain load I think the built motor without balancer shafts, the twin metal clutch, the PU motor mounts and the resultant increase in noise and vibrations, the high lift cams with noisy aftermarket HLAs etc are just driving the knock sensor crazy and me nuts!

If you are seeing knock that runs from 4k to 7500 rpm I would tend to think that is real knock. How many counts are we talking about here?

First you say 80% of the runs are clean then you say it is inconsistent one run to the next, which is it?
