Quick Noob Question on Tephra.

From what I understand when running the Tephra Patch the car only runs on ONE map (alternate Hi Octane Fuel/Ingnition map) the only way the car will run on the Alternate Low Octane Fuel/Ignition is if you have some sort of switch to go from the Hi map to the Low map...is this correct? Im going to start doing some slight modding to the timming/fuel....I just dont want to be chasing my tail.

Thanks,
Kyle~

yeah.

So IX's usually have 3 hi oct timing maps.

V5+ removes #2 and #3 and just uses #1.

V5+ also adds an "alternate high oct timing map" which is used when on altmaps...

Make sense?

No High/Low octane maps behave like normal

"Alternate" in the front means the set of alternate maps.

Just like you would tune low and high octane NORMALLY, you need to tune high and low octane when on altmaps.

Use the alt maps for your E85 tune.

Ok cool...I was looking at my first tune I pulled off the ECU. From what I read you want to make sure the Hi and low maps are the same...that way you allways know your running the same tune.

Then when you edit the tune make sure you adjust both maps.

Yes and the alt maps can be flash switched for a track only tune or a alt fuel.
