By raw load, do you mean 2byte load? If so, what we are seeing for 2byte load might not be the actual cell used by the ECU?

i think you're getting some knocks up top because you hit high timing a little too early. Notice that you hit 7* at around 5900 rpm and start climbing from there. Try to hit 5 or 6* there and start the climb.

at a glance it doesn't look like you're asking too much of the car....timing, AFR and load are reasonable which makes me think there might be a problem with the octane or the FMIC isn't doing it's job for some reason.

The Wizard has spoken! Thanks Mellon...I thought something was up. What Pump gas is your fav? BP, Shell, Mobile? What have you seen the best results with?

my personal favorite is BP and now that it has up to 10% Ethanol it's even better. I tuned mine to the ragged edge and it was completely knock free at 30psi consistently. I went down the road to a shell when I ran low on gas and put in 5 gallons of shell (no 10% Ethanol sticker) and it was knocking the moment I went knock to redline...I had to lower the boost 2-3psi before it started behaving again.

of course the results I've had may now be the same anywhere else but it's worth mentioning and worth experimenting in your area to find out what works best for you.

Yea, I think it may be something else...I filled up with Mobile 93 oct. Same issues...However my car shows little to no knock when running through the gears.

I would also recommend a boost leak test if you haven't already. I've seen this type of knock at that RPM because of a boost leak.

Yea, I was thinking about this to. If there is a leak it will push the turbo way out of its range and blow hot air. The LICP blew off the other day and I put a T-Bolt clamp on it...never tested after that. I found a leak before at the TB seals. I replaced them so I know Im good there...I guess my china brand T-bolt clamp could have a leak

Thanks for posting Razor...it nice to have good people like you and Mellon to help out.

usually with a boost leak you'll see abnormally high loads for the mods/boost/octane but it's still a good idea to do a proper boost leak test with an air compressor.

Thats how I found the Leaking TB seals...I do need to do it again for the simple fact I messed with the LICP. I did some smoothing on the fuel and timming maps....what ya think?

your timing is way overly conservative. no need to reduce it any further. My car is knock prone in high RPM's also. my fix was to add a whole lot of mivec uptop. I would try 19.9 in your 6000RPM down to 9.8 at 7500RPM.
my thinking was maybe my cars valve lift is on the on the edge of being within specs. So not all the exhuast is leaving out the valve like normal causing knocks from all that extra heat not leaving. so by increasing MIVEC the incoming air can help get rid of that extra left over exhuast that normally should have left.

That does make sense...I have messed with the MIVEC. Im pretty sure I got something close to a JDM RS Map. Here is it.

On another note I got some bucking going on...take a look.

Im thinking a possible boost leak....I just did the damn TB seals
