Problems with stationary rev limiter

Does anyone else have the problem where the stationary rev limiter (2-step) will randomly just not work? Mine does, i.e the other night i was trying to be a ricer in the parking lot at a local meet and the revs just kept climbing. I wasn't on a level surface but the car was not rolling. Clutch was in. I even tried it with the ebrake engaged.

This is not the first time it has happened. I know another local guy mentioned it has flaked on him before too.

the 2-step seems to have a bunch of condition that you need to meet in order to get it to work.

I have found that if you push the clutch in while you are still rolling it wont work. Even if you come to a complete stop after. My 2-step used to dissapear every once in a while untill I figured this out. Basically just be very methodical about using it. Come to a complete stop, push the clutch in and put the car in neutral, let the clutch out. Then clutch in again and go into gear. Thats what I do now and it always works.

Try what I said from now on and I don't think you'll ever have the problem again.

There is a "no acting like a ricer" condition that must be met before the 2step will engage properly..lol jk I have had this happen to me a few times. I think it happens because my car is rolling slightly. Maybe the parking lot you were in was on an incline?
