My alt map(e85) injector scaling is set to 622. Does this definition only work for the 'low octane' map or will it affect both maps? i.e. alt map?

i must do /2 only for the values on the right part correct?
don't edit the values on the left column. only the right one.

yes, bunch more IPW at cold coolant temps. Helped my E85 powered car crank up on the colder mornings. Tweaking the cold start timing map helps a ton too.

razorlab could you post your graphs (IPW)? I don't have a specific section in ecuflash for cold start timing. Is it labeled something else?

Awesome- the definitions took perfectly. How much IPW is a 'bunch"? Since the cold start maps are new to me, what direction to I have to go to help on the cold starts. Which areas do I need to tweak and by how much?

Just flashed my car with the new modded defintions and it fired up on the first try. So excited! I was also able to stabilize the idle by adjusting the IPW adder. Thank you all so much for everthing! I have learned an unbelievable amount of stuff from everybody- thanks again!

Then roughly halve all the values (560 -> 1000 = 2x as big)
Tephra will this work for the evo 8 rom id 94170008?

is there another table i should be working on as well as the one mentioned above?

i tried to make it /2 on the right column in my ecu, it did not work for me. problem is still there.

should i try to make the values lower?

Darwin - What are your fuel trims like? (you will need to idle for 5 mins and cruise for 10 mins to tell)

Hello.

My fuel trims are 0/0 on Mitsulogger (evoscan gives +/- 0.xx on both) after staying idle for long time. more than 10min and cruising for a long trip, about 20km. I know my trims are correct, because my O2 feedback trim hover around +1/-1 most of the time, and the trims are based on this feedback.

I will try playing more with the table. Remove a lot of fuel, and add a lot of fuel, see if it actually makes difference.

I have lowered the values by half old*0.5, it didn't make a difference. I tried again by lowering to 0.7*old value, so the values in my table are now 0.35*initial value, and it still didn't help my start. it doesn't do it when the car is cold in the morning.

It does it only if the car has been off for 10 minutes to a 3-4 hours.

Are you guys sure this is the correct table for my car. I read that for other ecus, there are two tables where one is not in use.

You may have to just fine tune the intermediate temperatures. IE: 100-150degF. I'm running bigger injectors than you, Fic 1150's that flowed 1190 and I experienced some slight hesitation when starting. After editing the cold start IPW I was satisfied. Further working the the "warm" start values and it starts really good now.

It has been my experience that if the car stumbles when starting up you are too rich and need to take out some IPW. If the car fires quickly and then stalls then you need more IPW at startup.

Also you are going to have to dial in your fuel trims well for this to work out for you.
