[QUOTE=lapulapu;6328902]I ported your log into logworks. I hope this trace helps.[/QUOTE

Very Cool! That does help, as the map tracer I have been using, an old "map tracer" some1 posted up a while back, is giving me a different trace... I will follow this and see what happends!

heres what this trace gave me...

Which leads me to another OT question... How the hell do you get "Logworks" to work??? LOL I would love to use this program, but I DL'ed/Installed and instantly got stuck... Maybe if you have some free time, and feel up to it, you could shoot me a PM and explain it to me... Isnt there some kind of .xml conversion needed, IDK...

Thanx

rename this file from txt to dif. copy lwtemplateUse excel to copy/past the necessary fields from you logs into the dif file and then open it with log works.

Step 1
Open the log file (Cntl + O)

Step 2
View | Chat from template

I found where my chart templates are saved. I can email you the file. pm me your email address.

Extract this file into your LogWorks3\LWSettings directory. I hope you're installed version 3.0 This file has my charts but change the rpm to match your boost table rpm.

About the fuel trims, leve the modified value and drive the car for a few days ... to the store, work, wherever, then log the trims. It takes at least 5 min for them to change and around 30 min before they actually settle. So, 30 minutes in traffic w/ varying speeds would give a fairly accurate reading on the trims.

Im not even sure they are as on point as they looked... I only logged the fuel trims idling, and only for about 5 mins. and directly after flashing... But there was a huge improvement noticeable just from idling. I logged both before and after editing it to 472. I need to log it cruising as well, right? and for longer than 5 mins.?
Yeah, its necessary to do at least 1/2 hr of stop and go driving to get a feel for the latencies.

Yes, get the trims in check before tuning the maps.

OK, just got back from the cleaners... lol Im not sure if this needs to be done on the highway (most likely) but I logged cruising the streets @ 40 ish for approx. 20 mins. and the fuel trims were as such: Im guessing that at least the "high" needs to be logged @ a certain speed...

Low - remained @ .1008, then to .6836 for the majority of the time, but went to-(minus) 3.6251 towards the end of the log.

Mid - started @ .1008, transitioned to .4875 for the majority of the log, then dipped to -1.8602

high - stayed the same the entire time (.1008), which makes me think that it needs to be done @ a higher speed... maybe??? lol I havent read much on injector scaling as I have stockers...

02 feedback - was all over the place!

OK Im getting there...
Thank you lapulapu! I tried your maptracer from logworks, and it seems as though Im getting control over the AFR, again... I had to input the same values in the adjacent cells as well, as it was still not cooperating, but IM definitely getting closer to my desired AFR.

I have finally gotten 2500 where I want it (13.0), but 3000 still needs a lil work... I have changed the map 3 times now and still hitting 12.1. desired afr is 12.5, so I am close... I will get it! W/ your much appreciated help guys!

3 things I have noticed... 1. My last log, I hit full boost l8! 3625... 2. wow Im outta injectors up top... lol I could have sworn when I was on the dyno last weekend (4th gear) I was only hitting 105-108%and now Im seeing 111% and 3. My TQ is still down a bit @ peak, even w/ adding a * @ 3500... Also I think I need to lower, or zero out the "max total upward WGDCC" table. Your thoughts, please.

here is a SS of my log in graph from evoscan, and the log in excell... (maybe it will work this time...)
input is always appreciated!

I should have named the title "understanding what you are doing w/ DBC" as thbe system seems to be working perfectly! Like I said Good Stuff mrfred!

and it sure would be nice if I could upload a damn log... I dont even know what the path is, that its taking... weird!

Do you have lean spool on or off? If you have it on, you are going to drive yourself crazy trying to dial in the AFR at those RPM.

According to that log, the system is adding 10% WGDC up top to try and hit your target PSI. Either bring down the target PSI, or if that is the target PSI you want, add more WGDC at 7500 so that the Correction system has less work to do.

LeanSpool is off. Both set to 2500. that is the desired boost level. I will add some WGDC as directed.

Heres a possiby weird question... If I lower boost up top, will that help w/ the TQ @ peak? I sorta recall something about you getting better #'s w/ less boost up top...

Seems as though winzip has worked as I can now open up zip files, but this 1 has an error "invalid archive"
