Will this next release have the ZT2 serial support for 64-bit vista?

Hi Tyrone, as we already discussed, in my experience the EvoScan GPS has a better signal than my Garmin unit. I'm happy to swap yours for another one to ensure you have a unit with a good signal.

Looking forward to the updated/permanent 2.6, the BETA version along with the 2.5 have given me nothing but problems. Cost one laptop it's life and will not work at all in two of my others. Good luck with the updates and such evo4mad, I'm looking forward to using the logger.

You can't make a claim that a program cost your laptop it's life without at least giving a few details to substantiate the claim. Evoscan has had issues, but this is a crazy claim.

It wouldn't work, so I punched the laptop screen hard enough to push the back side of it out. How's that? haha

Staff members or passengers work well also.

2.5 was very solid on xp, I never had an issue......actually evoscan has always worked efficiently since it was released, a bug or 2 here and there but it always did the job I needed it to do which is log data....

I'm running 2.6 (latest beta) on my 64bit vista laptop now with zero issues other than I cant log my wideband through the serial port, but since its wired into my ecu im not to concerned really - someday the option will be taken care of.

I would have to say your issues might revolve around your own personal machines.....maybe you need to spend some time figuring out what is wrong with the actual pc, instead of punching them ()

When running any laptop with Windows...sometimes the only thing left to do is put it out of its misery

No kidding travman? You think figuring out the problem is a better solution than putting your fist through the screen of a laptop? I'll have to consider that next time

I had been running 2.4 flawlessly for a very long time, never had a single problem from it. Same thing with the ECUflash software, never a single issue.

For whatever reason when I updated both to the newest stuff I ran into tons of problems. 2 weeks of fighting it, tech guys on the phone trying to work through it, nothing. I had to take one of the laptops lives just to make myself feel better.

I bought a new laptop (Vista) and started fresh with the downloads again, I still can't get 2.6 beta to work with the EVOX and have had a bunch of errors with 1.41 on the EVOX too. Not sure what's going on, probably on my end but doesn't make any sense since it's always worked in the past.

These guys are so great at keeping up to date on this stuff and making it all work flawlessly I am sure the final versions of it all will be problem free.

only problem i have had with 2.5 is with the widebands causing issues and stopping logging. It is really frustrating and i dont understand why only Evoscan is having the problem.

I would just go back to windows XP again. Vista is a pain in general.
