what rom is this? tried searching..

can anybody tell me what year this is from and what rom it should have?

1860a118 (i thought part numbers should start with a "M"?)

That does not appear to be a ROM. It appears to be an ecu part number off the sticker on the ECU.

yeah I think he was wanting to know what year evo the ecu was out of, and what rom ID goes with it.

Some quick googling seems to indicate it's a 2005 Evo ROM. Assuming it's a USDM ECU, the stock ROM ID is 96940011. 96530006 is also a workable ROM, but requires some modification.

thanks guys.

my real quesiton is though can i replace whatever rom is on there with 94170015? i was planning on using it with tephra's mods.
(i've been reading on swapping roms but i'm still a bit confused to all this)

tephra mods are included in 96530006.

which is a suitable replacement for 96940011.

Recent (see the wiki) discovery allows full and normal use of the immobiliser (previously 96940001 -> 96530006 users had to remove the immobiliser)
