Strange dip in timing ! Why !?!?!
Strange dip in timing ! Why !?!?!
I noticed this strange dip in my timing for on obvious reason !
Low load, low rpm, no knock, decelerating everything seems normal ! Then there's a sudden drop to 12 to -15 !
It's low load, low rpm, both my maps (high and low octane) points to +ve figures, around 16 and 12 respectively.
Just wondering, what triggers this dip for no obvious reason ?

Thats exactly what I was thinking, but his TPS doesn't show an abrupt let off of the pedal. His RPM has a subtle drop, but nothing else stands out as a cause for the sudden change. His TPS actually goes up, along with the IPW and Accel Enrichment.
Hmm, load takes a small jump up too.
Well, not sure abt anti-lag, but in the map, there's:
Boost enhancement (Anti-lag) Start RPM: 2500
Boost enhancement (Anti-lag) Stop RPM: 4531
I've another log that shows many such behaviors:
- Line 649 to 653
- Line 785 to 788
- Line 1068
Something must have triggered it......

the reason I ask, your tps went up, your load went up, but your rpms went down, which would indicate lugging the motor. If you were getting false knock, lots of it (but you say there was none indicated) your timing would drop.
ATR have 4 fuel map (hi1, lo1, hi2, lo2) and 4 ignition map. You are obviously making change to either one of map only, while another one left untouched. I believe your ATR definition is incomplete, that's the problem. Btw, ATR is Airtrek/Outlander turbo with auto transmission (just like VII GTA), what's your rom id?

Thanks for the advise Sub7. I've used the definition that you and Mattjin had discussed on his GTA.
I only changed High Octane Timing/Fuel map as I want to keep the Low Octane map stock as safety fall back. Nothing else is changed.
I'm also the fellow who Pm you on MAC
Decide to give it a try before going to any tuner.
My ROMID is 83540009

uh, I see. Try keep both high octane timing identical and verify if you can spot on the timing from datalog, leave low octane timing alone. Hi1 usually used for gear N,1,2 and Hi2 for 3,4,5.
