I finally got my Buschur 2.0 L longbock installed this past weekend. Other goodies include Evo Red, Buschur COP, HSF-5, 1000cc injectors, yada yada. The problem is that she won't idle, let alone move. I can limp around with the MAF disconnected (don't ask how I found that out
)
My injectors are Precision 1000cc, scaled to 914, with latencies of
4.6V = 3.312
7.0V = 1.680
9.4V = 1.296
11.7V = 1.104
14.1V = 0.840
16.4V = 0.528
18.7V = 0.312
I have tried various other scalings and latencies from the thread by Bez. I ran through a list of possible culprits:
1.) Boost Leak - All lines are tight and secure.
2.) Trouble Code - No codes being thrown at the moment.
3.) Faulty Primary O2- Not terribly sure, it looked fine when I installed it.
I blew the engine up 7 months ago at Sebring Raceway. Culprit was a rod that separated from the piston in cylinder #3. Metal shavings everywhere, even on top of the prop shaft
. It still has the old fuel in it from the track, but since it idles fine with the MAF unplugged, that can't be it.
Anybody want to lend a virtual hand? My mitsulogger fuel trim log is below.

The cam timing is correct. I spent over an hour making sure it was degreed to the specs in the repair manual.
The ignotion timing I have not fiddled with.
Here is a strange twist though; the car runs better with the stock map and fuel scaling than the settings from bez's thread. Why would that be on 1000cc injectors?

Your scaling is really high. should be in the low 800s.

If you are having front O2 sensors that is most likely your problem.

You are close to John (aka Jestr)....Just have him come setup your car once and don't destroy another engine...One other option -- until you get the car to idle properly, I'd disconnect the Aquamist water / alk injection -- it should not be on during idle / no load, but there may be a configuration issue.

The alky kit isn't on. Its just mounted.
I should give John a call. I have been workin with 4WS and he has been great, but he can't do much over the phone.
I'll try those other latency values. I still can't figure out why she idles better with stock scalings though.

In Tamer's defense, I posted extreme values that we tried after all else failed. It was originally scaled to 820 but I don't remember the latencies. I'll try those values suggested.
Trims aren't even registering yet in that log unless i'm blind. Your getting 0 O2 feedback. Which is likely a great deal of your issue
How long have you let it run??
Even if it means giving it throttle to stay running. The car should idle with that scaling and latency.

I'd keep trying to get it to run for a little even if you need to give it throttle yourself.
Is this possible to do if so lets try it see if we start to get some O2 feedback
O2 could be bad but don't rush to replace it yet. Likelihood is that the car hasn't run long enough at this point to throw a code anyways.

Things I saw from the log:
No trims or O2 feedback logs
414 EGR temp (is it usually this high for this logger?)
Idle went up to 2000rpm without throttle
I would see if there's something other than ecu setting related first.
