I am using the latest version of ECU Flash and for some reason when I try to input values manually, such as entering battery latency values in ms for scaling the injectors, they do not go in properly. For example I can increase and decrease the values with the "{-}" keys, but I am supposed to be able to enter "any" value I want manually?

I quickly tried it with edit-set data and entered 5.96 and it entered 5.952. Seems to be working fine... not sure why it doesn't enter the exact value.

 

Use the = key, ECUFalsh will give you the closes value in decimal that it can to the underlying hex value.

Remember the values you see in ECUFlash are in decimal and use a conversion from the real hex that is in the ROM, so they make more sense when you read them.

Hi, thank you for the replies. I using version 1.41.2483. When I used the equal sign to enter the exact values I want, for example I want to enter 720 for injector scaling, the value shown is 713. For some reason ECU Flash is not displaying the exact value I am trying to enter and I am not sure if this is a bug in the software or if it is like this by default.

When you enter the number 720, ECUflash has to convert it to a hex number that the ECU can use, but 720 won't covert directly to a hex number in the ECU code, so ECUflash will give you the nearest value it can.

Thats why the tuners wrestling with big injectors can never get just the "right" value for scaling.
