the com port for my rigged aem WB serial cable is 17, but my choices in evoscan are 1, 3, and 7.
How do i get the correct com port to be available to click?

i had this same issue last saturday, and what i did was i looked at whats on those port 1-8, then i found out that my Sprint Wireless Internet was designated in those ports. so i just deleted those drivers, then deleted the wideband usb driver that i just installed, and reinstall it, then i got the port #4, after that i reinstall the Sprint Wireless again and everything works.....

 

There's a way to go in and assign comports under computer management.

 

Device manager and advanced properties of com ports will let you assign lower com port numbers although you might need to change another device that is currently using the lower com number assignments. is this Vista ?????

Ha I ran into problems with my sprint wireless card and logging my wb in evoscan as well. So much that I dont even want to talk about ha.

 

i also have that sprint card haha, but thats not wats on my lower comports.. i found where i can assign the ports, but i cant find wat driver those ports are already assigned to..
