Evoscan cable broke burnt out after only a day

This sucks hardcore my cable just came yesterday and it already burnt out I set a 2 step rev limiter and raised the boost and did some logging and that's it. Has anyone else had one go shot? I know I used it correctly it must have just been a bad cable.

Yeah we were logging tonight, I disconnected and when I went to reconnect it wouldn't work. Traces are burned off and everything.

That cable looks like someone made it as their first electronics experiment.

The ECU wouldn't just all of a sudden lock itself after a couple small changes.

if there is a burnt smell then there is something wrong. might be a short in the cable. well hopefully just the cable. check out your odb II port for signs of shorting just to be sure.

Ya i already checked the cable we took the plastic cover off just to make sure some of the traces were burnt on the Pcb board. So i know 100% that its the cable it looked like it was just made really bad one corner looked scraped up and had some loose copper on it that might had shorted it out some how.
