Please use with caution! As Tephra says this is not 100% tested yet! Like Tephra I give no warranty ;-)

Download 1

Download 1 is File name: 96530706-v7t6-mods.zip
1. Immob. fixed to work on USDM cars

Download 2

Downloads 2 is File name: 96530706-v7t6-mods-phenem.zip
1. Immob. fixed to work on USDM cars
2. mrfred psi based boost implemented (just edit Tephra's gear dependant map)
3. OBD II Inspection ready for EVAP and EGR
4. Disabled EGR and EVAP
5. Disabled P0300 code
6. Disabled lean spool
7. Disabled boost cut
8. Disabled boost delay cut

Any USDM 8 should be able to run the second map without any trouble and pass emissions and everything, just copy in the standard stuff, immob, fuel, timing, etc...

If you are getting weird values for the Tephra Mod section please use the attached XML provided in my zip files and DELETE or MOVE other XML out of your ECUFlash directory and replace with the ones I included.

Let me know if there is anything else that needs done.

Tephra, what codes throw the car into "limp home mode"?

All, do we know the proper IC sprayer timer settings? When I change the off time it changes the on time as well in the xml that was posted a couple pages back on the 96530706.

Travis, how do you put in the MAT sensor on the 96530706 when mrfred, as far as I know, never did it to that rom?

Yes, mrfred has instruction for the MAT patch for 96530006.

Ah I forgot you use the VIII rom now in your DSM - I was talking the 88590015 rom for your IX, my bad.

Well seems like the post above me confirms you can do it then.

I know it used to be common practice to disable these but i would always recommend using them. After tuning a car i usually set these 10-15 load higher than then peak load in 4th gear. IT is a nice safety feature if something happens (like a boost leak) or someone unknowingly messes with a boost controller. This is good especially if you car is tuned to the ragged edge

I agree completely. I've been starting to use it with cars I tune since I have no control over what the owner might change/adjust that may be harmful to the tune I performed. If he adds cams and starts boosting at higher loads that weren't tuned, god knows what would happen. Its a nice "RED FLAG" that something needs attention. I've been setting the timer for 2000ms since sometimes a load spike can occur during a quick change if someone drops into a lower gear and mashes it to pass someone. Only if the load exceeds 319 regularly do I bypass it, though 90% of what I tune is below that value.

I'm using a MAT sensor with 96530706, and it's working just fine; you just need to follow the instructions for 96530006 (there's no difference going to v7t6).

Because I have no OBD2 checks in this car (the 1990 dsm) and it throws a couple codes that I would rather not fix to keep the wiring simpler.

Thanks Skyline. Once I am trained in the Art of Tuning, i will try that rom out. Currently the Tuner and I tried a lot of different maps or xml's, and my car wanted to be finiky, and not except any of them.... That is wy i was looking for a full 94620011 xml with ALL the mods, or as many as can fit...lol.

Thanks again for the help.

Ok so today I was trying to log while running on the ALT maps and the logger started displaying some crazy numbers for everything. knock at 57, timing advance 160, rpm 1003, bunch of other things. I was going down the interestate at 80 just fine. It kept doing it, is there anything I need to add to evo scan?

I swear last night I remember seeing some stuff I needed to put into it but now I can't find them. If you could point me in that direction i'd appreciate it.

Also if im running ALT maps do you guys usually have 91 as your main map and e85 as your ALT or the other way around?

Thanks

without all the reading>> i'll gladly paypal an extra $20 if you can get me the complete rom to just replace my 88590015 rom with. LOL
i keep reading "change this to this and that to that". i'm confused and always seem to do something wrong. i'm trying to catch up to everyone.. but i'm WAY behind.
i'd like the O2 sim.. and all the other stuff sounds awesome.. i'm just lost when it comes to finding some of the programming to replace. it's like my rom uses different wording than the ones described in the "how to"s.
help!
